Are internships and industrial visits mandatory for BBA (Hons.) and BCA (Hons.) students under KTU, and when are they conducted?

Yes. Both internships and industrial visits are mandatory components of the BBA (Hons.) and BCA (Hons.) programmes under KTU 2024 regulations.

Students usually complete their internship during the summer semester — typically after the 6th or 7th semester, as per the academic plan. The internship is evaluated through Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) based on reports, presentations, and performance.

Industrial visits (IVs) are also a required part of the curriculum to provide industry exposure. Students are granted attendance for official IV days approved by the college and university.
