Does KTU provide a Three-Year Exit Option for BCA and BBA programmes?

Yes, but only for students admitted from the Academic Year 2026-27 onwards.

APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) introduced the Three-Year Exit Option for the Four-Year BCA (Hons.) and BBA (Hons.) programmes through U.O. No. 1413/2026/KTU dated 23.06.2026. The option is applicable only to students admitted from the 2026-27 academic year onwards.

Students admitted in 2024-25 and 2025-26 are not covered by this provision and must continue under the regulations that were in force at the time of their admission.

For eligible 2026-27 onwards students:

• After successfully completing 3 years (6 semesters): Students may exit the programme and will be awarded a BCA or BBA degree, subject to satisfying all University academic requirements.
• After successfully completing 4 years (8 semesters): Students who continue and complete the fourth year will be awarded the BCA (Honours) or BBA (Honours) degree.
